Worth knowing before you paste: these are Unicode characters, not fonts. Screen readers read them out as gibberish or skip them, they can't be searched, and a few older phones show empty boxes instead of letters. Great for a bio or a username; not for anything that has to be read by everyone.
Strikethrough here is not a formatting attribute — it is a combining character. After each letter, an invisible-width mark is inserted that renders as a line drawn through the character before it. The result is one continuous strike across the whole phrase, and because those marks are part of the text they survive a copy-paste into apps with no formatting support at all.
That also explains a couple of quirks. The strike covers the spaces between words, since the space characters get a mark too. And the character count roughly doubles: every visible letter is two code points, which matters if you are pasting into a field with a strict limit.
The full strike is the standard crossed-out look and the one that renders most consistently across devices. The short strike uses a narrower mark, so on some fonts the line breaks slightly between letters — a softer, hand-crossed effect that suits a joke or an aside.
The diagonal slash puts a stroke through each character individually rather than a single horizontal line. It stands out more and is much harder to read, which makes it better for a couple of words than a sentence.
