Synapse Keyboard is made by Smafty. It is an Android keyboard built for people who want on-demand AI help where they already write: in messages, email, social apps, and work chats.

Synapse focuses on deliberate AI actions. Normal typing stays on the device. When you select text and run a prompt, the service can help with grammar, translation, tone, or a custom instruction you choose. The keyboard is free to download, includes trial credits, and uses pay-as-you-go top-ups rather than a subscription.

Why Synapse exists

We kept seeing the same pattern: people copy a message out of WhatsApp, switch to ChatGPT, paste it, wait, copy the reply, and switch back. That workflow costs seconds on every message, and it breaks the flow of a conversation.

Synapse puts that AI step back where the writing happens. Select text, tap the Synapse icon, pick a prompt, and the answer replaces your text in the same app — no switching, no copy-pasting.

What we believe

Your typing is yours. Normal typing never leaves the phone. No autocorrect profiling, no next-word learning. AI runs only when you explicitly select text and run a prompt.
On-demand, not as-you-type. Grammar fixes and rewrites happen when you ask, not by underlining everything you write.
No subscription traps. Pay-as-you-go credits starting at $5. If you don't use it, you don't pay again. Crypto payments earn bonus credits.
Honest about limits. English keyboard layout only (AI can write and translate in other languages). Android only, installed via APK. Google sign-in required; AI needs internet.
