The honest version

We'd rather you read this before paying than be surprised after. This page is the straight truth about buying energy credits on Synapse — no fine print, no surprises.

All sales are final — no refunds

Once energy credits are added to your account, the purchase is non-refundable. This applies to both card (Gumroad) and crypto (Cryptomus) payments. We can't reverse credits once they've been used.

So start small. The minimum package is $5. Try that first, see how Synapse fits your workflow, and only top up more if it's working for you.

Third-party risk (be aware)

Synapse runs on AI models provided by third parties. Sometimes those providers have outages, rate limits, or raise their prices — things outside our control. Here's our honest commitment to you:

  • We work hard to keep models online. We add and maintain multiple engines (S1, S2) precisely so a single provider going down doesn't leave you stuck.
  • If a provider fails, we cannot repair their server or API directly. However, we'll try to integrate alternative models to keep things running, but we are not responsible for provider-side downtime or failures.
  • But we can't guarantee 100% uptime forever. No AI service can. Buy what you'll realistically use, not a huge stockpile.

Don't over-buy

Credits never expire, which is great — but it also means there's no rush to buy the biggest pack. Buying multiple large packages that sit unused isn't a smarter deal; it's just money parked. Buy what you need, top up when you need more.

Our honest recommendation: start with $5 or $10. If you burn through that in a week, you'll know the bigger packs are worth it for you.

Pricing can change

Because the underlying AI models can change their costs, package prices and energy amounts may go up over time. Prices you see today aren't guaranteed forever. Credits you've already purchased stay at the energy amount you paid for — only future packages change.

If something goes wrong

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting support. Note that any remaining energy credits are forfeited on deletion, since they can't be refunded.
